Greenslopes SRS leaves no stone unturned in our efforts to offer an outstanding supported residential service, and to do so with the highest level of care and compassion.

As a boutique facility, Greenslopes is able to offer a true home to our residents, with comfortable suites, expansive communal living areas – both indoor and outdoor – and award-winning kitchen facilities.

But it’s more than a home, it’s a community, where residents enjoy being mentally and physically active, sharing experiences, and shaping their own lifestyles, with support from qualified staff.

While the quality of our accommodation, amenities, activities and services is second-to-none it’s the superior level of attention to the individual needs of our residents that sets Greenslopes apart.

About Us

Greenslopes SRS is a modern, purpose-built facility, featuring 36 large and elegant bedroom suites, set around communal gardens and courtyards.

All meals are prepared on site in a five-star kitchen, while residents have access to a spacious lounge room, a separate TV viewing room, a library, and many services and amenities.


As a purpose-built facility for the aged, Greenslopes SRS caters to the needs of elderly residents in a variety of ways.

Helping residents remain active, confident, and independent is always foremost in our minds, but we recognise that ease of movement and safety become more important than ever later in life.

The following features help make Greenslopes an ideal home for older people:

  • Wide corridors equipped with handrails

  • All suites have private en-suite bathrooms

  • Emergency buzzers to three points in every bedroom

A balanced lifestyle is an integral part of living at Greenslopes.

As well as supporting and encouraging the existing interests of our residents, we organise a variety of regular and ad hoc activities, all tailored to stimulate older minds and bodies.

We encourage residents to retain their own doctor wherever possible and many attend Greenslopes SRS to care for their patients. Residents also have access to a panel of doctors who make regular visits and are available on call.

Expert nutritional advice to encourage overall health or address digestive issues.

Our visiting chemist fills prescriptions quickly and provides any medication

Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, voice and related issues.

About Our Services

Q: Are single rooms available?
All suites are single with private en-suites.
Q: What provisions are there for couples?
We have a few suites designed for couples. Please talk to our Care Manager about availability.
Q: Are bathrooms private or shared?
All bedrooms have private en-suite bathrooms.
Q: What arrangements are there for privacy?
All suites are secure and staff adhere to a strict privacy and dignity policy in their dealings with residents. All visitors sign in and out and the facility is locked after hours (visitors then ring the doorbell for access).
Q: What furnishings are provided and can residents bring?
Residents can bring whatever items of furniture they like, such as a bed, desk or favourite chair. In fact, we encourage residents to bring as many household and precious personal items as practical, as these help create a familiar environment. Regardless of whether a resident brings a number of items or no furniture of their own, we supply all furnishings needed.

About Our Facility

Q: How are social and cultural activities determined?
When a resident enters Greenslopes SRS, we ask for a brief on social, family and life history. From this, we compile a Lifestyle Care Plan, designed to maintain community links, preserve the resident’s interests and keep them active. Each lifestyle program is updated regularly as part of the resident’s overall wellbeing plan.
Q: Does Greenslopes SRS provide for residents’ special occasions?
All birthdays are acknowledged and celebrated and catering can be arranged to accommodate family and friends. Anniversaries and other occasions of significance can also be catered for with appropriate notice. Our onsite manager is happy to discuss any arrangements.
Q: What provision is there for storage of personal items?
Each suite has a built-in cupboard for clothes and storage. Additional storage for bulky items is also available in our secure storage area (please speak to our Care Manager in relation to additional storage).
Q: Can residents have a private telephone?
Yes, all suites have telephone points (connection, maintenance and payment is the responsibility of the resident).
Q: Is there easy access to well-maintained outdoor areas?
The paved courtyard areas, including outdoor seating, are accessible from the lounge and dining rooms. Other outdoor areas (with gardening boxes) are also provided, while the grounds are maintained by contract gardeners.

Fees & Charges

How much does it cost to stay at Greenslopes SRS?

Rates vary, however they are essentially based on:

  • Duration of the stay (Respite and Permanent)
  • Room size
  • Room aspect and features, e.g. additional sitting room, courtyard access etc
  • Level of care required
  • Additional optional services selected

Is an accommodation bond required for Aged Care?

No bonds are required to become a resident of Greenslopes SRS. There are also no daily care fees as in mainstream funded aged care facilities.

How can I pay Resident Fees?

Our preferred payment method is via electronic transfer through an automatic Periodic Payment arrangement with your bank.

While the majority of residents also find this to be the most convenient method, we do accept various other forms of payment.

What is included in the fee?

The monthly Resident Fee is all-inclusive of primary aged care services, including:

  • A single occupancy suite per resident
  • Access to an ensuite for each suite
  • All meals including ‘happy hour’ drinks each afternoon
  • Cleaning of the suite
  • Room, facility and ground maintenance
  • Daily newspapers
  • All in-house activities, entertainment, classes etc
  • All outings organised by Greenslopes SRS
  • Individually controllable heating and cooling
  • All utility expenses
  • Provision and laundering of all bed linen and clothing

What is not included in the fee?

Typical items that our residents fund themselves include:

  • Haircuts / hairdressing from our visiting hairdresser
  • Medical expenses and pharmacy costs
  • Dry cleaning if required
  • Private telephone line (available)
  • Foxtel (available)

How much notice do I have to give Greenslopes SRS?

Our Residential Statement, which sets out all of the terms and conditions for
our residents, requires 28 days notice of intention to leave.

Fees Comparison?

Greenslopes SRS is a non-Federal-government-funded facility, operating under and registered
through the Victorian Department of Health.

Despite receiving no subsidies from the government, Greenslopes SRS is able to provide a cost-
competitive alternative to other funded forms of aged care.

There are no asset tests and no-one needs to sell a family home to pay for a residential bond. We
can arrange an appointment with an aged care financial planner to give you a clearer picture of
the various options available.
